2017's Excellence in Construction Awards banquet returned to the Gillespie Center on the campus of St. Mary's College to honor another collection of outstanding projects and exceptional Apprentices. A new award (MACIAF Construction Industry Impact Award) to be given periodically, recognized the distinguished contribution of Mr. Randy Weaver, owner of Weaver Masonry to our area's construction industry, for his longtime contribution to our associations and to union masonry construction. Providing our Keynote Address for the evening was former Notre Dame (and NFL) player and current host of the ESPN show Mike and Mike, Mr. Mike Golic. Mike's open and entertaining stories, along with his willingness to directly engage with the crowd made him a hit with the audience.
